For everyone
That includes people of every ability. We mean it, and we're working at it.
"For ALL the people" isn't just our slogan — it's how we want this website to work, too. We're committed to making this site usable for everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, captions, or other assistive technology.
We are a small, grassroots campaign team doing our best, and we are actively working toward conforming with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely recognized standard for web accessibility. We may not be perfect yet, but we're committed to getting better, and we take this seriously.
As we build and improve this site, we work to use clear, readable text with strong color contrast; make the site navigable by keyboard, not just a mouse; structure pages with proper headings so screen readers can make sense of them; write descriptive text for images and links; design for mobile and a range of screen sizes; and keep language plain and easy to follow.
This is the most important part. If any part of this site is hard to use, or if something gets in your way because of a disability, we want to know — and we'll work to fix it as quickly as we can.
Email sevenRsiegel@gmail.com or Frankie@PartnersIn.Design, or call 207-200-7341. Tell us what you ran into and, if you can, the page it happened on. If you need information from this site in a different format, ask us and we'll get it to you another way.
We treat accessibility problems as real problems worth fixing, not as an afterthought.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time checkbox. As we add to this site, we'll keep working to meet the standard, and we'll keep listening. If we fall short somewhere, the fastest way to get it fixed is to tell us — we'd genuinely rather know.
