Our promise
We're running a clean campaign. That includes how we treat your information.
The short version: we collect only what we need to run this campaign, we use it only to organize and win this race, and we never sell it. If you ever want to know what we have or want us to delete it, email us and we'll take care of it. The details are below.
This site is run by Seven Siegel for State Representative, the campaign committee for Seven Siegel's candidacy in Maine House District 109 (Gorham). When this policy says "we" or "the campaign," that's who we mean.
Questions about anything here? Email sevenRsiegel@gmail.com or call 207-200-7341.
When you fill out our volunteer form, we collect the information you give us: your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to share it), the ways you've told us you'd like to help, and anything you write in the message box.
When you visit the site, we collect basic, anonymous traffic information — things like which pages are visited and roughly where visits come from — through a privacy-friendly analytics tool (Cronitor) that does not use tracking cookies and does not identify you personally. Our website host (Webflow) may also collect standard server information like IP addresses as part of delivering the site.
We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, or any advertising trackers on this site.
We use your information to get in touch with you about volunteering, events, and the campaign; to coordinate field activities like door-knocking, phone banking, and house parties; to keep you updated on the race and how to help; and to understand which parts of our site are useful so we can improve it. We do not use your information to do anything other than run this campaign.
Seven is a Maine Clean Election Act candidate. If you choose to make a $5 qualifying contribution to help Seven qualify for public funding, that contribution is made on the State of Maine's official website, not ours. We link you to the Maine Ethics Commission's portal, and from that point the State collects and handles your information.
By law, the State verifies qualifying contributors against Maine's voter registration database, and certain limited information about qualifying contributions is a matter of public record, including the contributor's name, the date, the contributor's residential address, and the candidate supported. That's the State's process, set by Maine law, and it's the same for every Clean Election candidate. We don't control it, and we'd rather you hear it from us up front than be surprised.
We don't sell your information. Ever. We share it only with: the tools we use to run the campaign (for example, our website host Webflow, our analytics tool Cronitor, and the email and document tools we use to organize, such as Google Workspace), which handle data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
That's it. No advertisers, no data brokers, no selling lists.
You're in control of your information. Want to know what we have on you? Email us and ask. Want us to delete it, or stop contacting you? Email us and we'll take care of it. Want to unsubscribe from updates? Tell us and you're off the list. Reach us anytime at sevenRsiegel@gmail.com or 207-200-7341.
One honest note: information that has already become public record under Maine election law (like certain Clean Election contribution details handled by the State) isn't something we can pull back, because we never controlled it in the first place. Everything we do hold, we'll gladly show you or delete.
We use reputable, established service providers and take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No website or organization can promise perfect security, but we treat your data the way we'd want ours treated.
This site is meant for supporters who are old enough to participate in the political process. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.
If we update this policy, we'll post the new version here with a fresh "last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected clearly.
